This shows you how to enable VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) in Xorg on Linux. This is useful for gaming and reducing screen tearing.

Enable VRR Xorg Conf

Create a new file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-amdfreesync.conf

Reboot and you will have it enabled. You can verify your monitor supports VRR with this command: xrandr --props | grep -i "vrr"

You can then verify it is enabled through the log file at /var/log/Xorg.0.log
